I would like to recommend
"ICHIRIKI
Japanese Nabe Restaurant."
This place is not a place where I usually go.
On last Sunday, I have visited here; it was first time.
Front
Inside
The interior is really Japanese.
This restaurant has a few of this kind of room shown by the picture above.
Their main food is Shabu Shabu.
So, they serve plates with some vegetables, shrimp, salmon, chicken, and so on.
I ordered the most popular plate.
They may serve a lot; the amount looked big on the plate, however, it was not enough for me.
Also, you can choose one last food (?), or it could be called a finisher;
the options are Zosui, Udon, and Ramen.
I chose Zosui, which is rice with special(?) broth, an egg, and seaweed.
The taste was not special.
But, the meat was good.
Their basic formation
Address: 510 Piikoi St, Honolulu, HI 96814
Business Hour: Mon-Sun 11:00am-11:00pm, Fri&Sat ~12pm (an hour extension)
Private Rating: 3.5 out of 5.0
I always passed by the restaurant but never been in before, the inside looks neat. I like Shabu Shabu but I've never tried Japanese style, it looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI've been to this place a couple times. One thing I found interesting is there are tables where you table off your shoes when you sit. It's a little uncomfortable if you aren't used to it though. I also found the portions of food to be unfulfilling. There are a lot of "filler" vegetables, that look like they give you a lot of food but it really isn't a lot once it's cooked and it doesn't fill you up. The prices are actually pretty expensive too. I would say if you want to enjoy hot pot the Little Sheep at Ward is a better option even if it is a different style from Japanese nabe.
